Here at Erase Tattoo Removal we know that Laser Tattoo Removal is a long and sometimes painful process. While everyone reacts to the treatments in different ways there are some things that are typical and should be expected.
If you have recently had a laser tattoo removal session it is important that you know the proper post care treatment as well as what is normal for this type of procedure.
1) Skin Blisters are normal and part of the healing process. Do NOT pop or peel the blisters as this can cause infection and irruption of the affected area. The specific site of the blisters should be treated with care. It is best to avoid long showers, high water pressure and baths. Try to keep the area dry as much as possible. After a shower it is recommended that you pat dry the area and allow it do dry without rubbing.
2) Tattoo removal can be painful. The lasers work to break up the ink particles but it is up to your body to remove the ink from the skin. To deal with pain we recommend our clients use a cool compress and a non aspirin based Tylenol.
3) When going outdoors it is also recommended to keep the treated area away from the sun and to wear sunscreen that is SPF 25 or higher.
4) Improve your immune system. A few things that will help the skin heal and the body to remove the ink particles is for the client to maintain good health throughout the process. It is important that your immune system is strong and up to the challenge of removing your tattoo and helping your body to heal quickly. Increasing your sleep, water intake and avoiding smoke will have a huge impact on how your skin heals.
