What You Should Look for in a Tattoo Removal Studio

Erase Tattoo Removal Studio in Oak Brook, IL

Are you considering getting a tattoo removed? If you are reading this article, then chances are the answer is yes. Of course, now that you have come to the decision of getting a tattoo removed, the question is, “What do I look for in a tattoo removal studio?” This is an important question to ask and find a good answer to because the wrong decision can lead to a messy situation and a poor removal result.

Laser tattoo removal is a medical procedure, despite not needing to cut into patients or requiring medicine to treat. You need to find a studio that treats it as such and respects the delicacies it brings to the table. This procedure requires experts; this means that the lasertattoo removal studio in Chicagoland needs to have either licensed technicians or, even better, have doctors.

Make sure you do research on any studio you find. The right Chicagotattoo removal studio should be able to give you answers and have contact info to help you find answers that you can’t find on the site. Do not just settle for the first place you find on the internet because you do not want to put a lot of work into this. This is a big deal, respect it as such. Look for things like patient reviews (like Yelp) and also before and after photos so you can see what yours will look like at the end. Check out their social media and see what they say about themselves and the procedure. Schedule a consultation with the studio so you can see their advice and expertise; the right studio can offer this service for free.

Make sure to review the procedure. The studio’s site should give an overview of the procedure and you can also look for general procedure notes on respected medical sites. The laser tattoo removal procedure is not complex but you should still know something about it and be familiar with what you are about to go through. Check out if they offer the R20 procedure because this could be a great option for you.

Check out what kind of laser the studio uses. A quality laser is the Asclepion TattooStar Effect Laser because it can tackle a lot of different ink colors.

Bottom line, know what you are getting into and decide on the right studio. You will not regret doing the research.

Myths About Laser Tattoo Removal

There are certain things about laser tattoo removal that float around in the air that people hear and believe to be true because they hear them so frequently. Well, some of those things are true but there are some that are quite untrue; the untrue ones are what we would call myths. The myths are dangerous and for good reason; if someone hears a myth about something and they believe it is a true fact, then they could use that wrongful information and either look foolish or even endanger their lives. It is important to know what the myths are about laser tattoo removal and know that they are false or true and why they are so.

The first myth about laser tattoo removal is that a laser hair removal laser is able to remove a tattoo just as well as a laser tattoo removal laser. Let me tell you, this is so untrue that a compulsive liar would not even be able to spit it out. That is how untrue it is. Why is this untrue? It is quite simple, the light pulse waves from the hair removal laser functions differently than the tattoo removal laser. A tattoo removal laser is much stronger than a hair removal laser in both light pulsations and wavelengths. Due to these facts, the hair removal laser is not adequate to remove tattoo ink and could cause serious scarring if one were to try it.

The second myth about laser tattoo removal is that new tattoos cannot be removed and that you have to wait. Again, not true.  While it is true that older tattoos are generally easier to remove than new tattoos, it is not impossible to remove new tattoos. The reason some tattoos are harder to remove than others is all dependent on the colors in the tattoos, the size, and the location of the tattoos. While lasers these days have gotten much better at being able to remove all colors, some colors are still harder to remove but not impossible. If a tattoo is unable to be removed, it is more likely the person and not the tattoo itself.

The third myth about laser tattoo removal is that a tattoo can be removed in a single treatment and that the other treatment sessions are just for money. No, no, no, no tattoo can be completely removed in a single session. Even small, black tattoos require a few sessions to completely remove.

Erase Tattoo Removal is a quality Chicago tattoo removal studio that uses laser tattoo removal technology. They are known for the R20 procedure, which means fewer required sessions for you. They give free consultations so there is no worry about just checking in about laser tattoo removal if you are considering.

How Army Recruits Can Avoid Being Penalized for New Restrictions: Tattoo Removal

Erase Tattoo Blog

As of March 2014 the US Army has new regulations regarding tattoos for people enlisting as well as current soldiers. They received a lot of feedback from new recruits as well as already enlisted soldiers and decided to revise the new rules taking the feedback into consideration.  With the new rules, changes and much confusion it is good to point out what these changes mean and the reason behind them.

The official reason for the new tattoo regulations that are being enforced is to have soldiers appear in a more “professional” light. Considering how much traveling soldiers do, and the cultural difference between the places they go, it is easier to not involve personal lifestyle choices in a culture that is about conformity. “The Army is a professional organization, so we strive to present a professional image.” according to Sergeant Jason Riddle.

Under the new regulation recruits must not have any face or neck tattoos. They also must comply with the four-tattoo limit, and the tattoos cannot be larger than the size of the hand of the person applying. The tattoos are not open to personal preference either. Explicit or sexual tattoos are banned and will stay banned according to the Army standard.

After many publically spoke out about the new changes this spring, the Army eased restrictions for members that are already enlisted, offering promotion with the support of the commanding officer and not withholding advances because of current tattoos.

While some recruits have already been turned away because of the new rules, the Army is not budging on this decision. If people are seriously considering enlisting tattoo removal is a safe and good alternative for them.

This is the first time inhistory that people can remove tattoos with the help of a trained medical professional in a reasonable amount of time. We see many clients who choose to remove tattoos because of work or new career changes. Those considering the Army have the same option. A career is a long-term investment and removing their tattoos is part of that investment.

That tattoo removal process is fairly simple and reliable. It does take multiple sessions and they must be spaced weeks apart.  If there is someone considering this as an option they should begin the process as soon as possible to ensure they are not turned away.  Since the Army is mainly concerned with visible tattoos, recruits can remove ink that is detrimental to their enlistment and leave others on their body as long as it complies with the new policy.
